Handmade Chain Mail Necklace [Smokey Citrine, Citrine, Stainless Steel]

The Chain mail design has a long history, dating back to the 4th century. This design has persevered millennia and continues to be a popular style today!
My husband Amos, one of the most creative thinkers I know, handmade this necklace! He can see the beauty and possibilities in what others might consider ‘trash’. In this case, Amos has recovered crab pots that have washed up on the beach, dismantled them, and harvested the stainless steel wire for repurposing. This necklace has had a whole other life of being at the bottom of the ocean before becoming jewelry. Plus there is the bonus of removing an abandoned crab pot from the shoreline before it kills birds.
This necklace is androgynous and both genders would feel comfortable wearing the set. There is some antiquing in the stainless steel in places, which is to be expected considering the environment it was in. This would make an excellent gift, or a tool for working with the Solar Plexus Chakra, Will Power, Creativity, Boundaries and, Good Fortune!
